Sarah Kivel, ACC

peak performance COACH

I am an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation specializing in Peak Performance. I am part of the first cohort to participate in Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certification program. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree and also my Professional Coaching for Life and Work Certification at the University of California, Davis. Prior to executive coaching, I worked in international trade at The North Face.

I’ve been an athlete all my life. I played collegiate soccer, have skied throughout the world and am also a triathlete and mountain biker. I’ve learned that mental and emotional strength separate peak performers from the pack. So, when I coach high achieving CEOs, Entrepreneurs and athletes, I incorporate some of the same tools I use in competitive sports. From this, I have created The Kivel Method™.

My approach to coaching is unique. I work outdoors with clients and incorporate movement—walking, hiking, running, even skiing—into our sessions. By combining mental and physical energy, my clients build emotional intelligence faster and more effectively. Using two modes of coaching is my signature approach and sets The Kivel Method™ apart from other coaching methods.

My other interests include traveling overseas and taking trips in my Airstream. My adventures enable me to take risks, live mindfully, and strengthen my own emotional intelligence. I talk about these ideas and tell some of my stories in the upcoming documentary, Alumination

i Me and my Airstream travel trailer, which is also my office.

I traveled 75 days through 7 states, and learned that staying on well traveled roads is far riskier than taking the unknown dirt roads. Come explore what it means to be vulnerable, how to live mindfully, and why emotional intelligence matters. These are the things that make us feel alive.
